ZIESPRACHE (DIALOGUE) by Karin Döring. Painted collage with daisy man parrot and stairs. Zwiesprache = mostly in (silent) dialogue with someone; to have a conversation (in your mind) with someone.
 
The collage series is based on depicting people in their everyday lives and with the things that surround them. The artist however, does not create the collage by "gluing" it as is conventional. Instead, she paints the individual fragments (everyday objects, surroundings, plants, animals, etc.) into her collage and arranges them around and with the people she portrays in them.

I purchased one of Karin's first paintings a few years ago. It was a portrait that immediately spoke to me and captivated me. Since then, more of Karin's works have found a place in our home. I think it's great that she experiments, evolves her art, and thus stands out from other artists. With her special works from the HUMAN STRIPES series, she has definitely hit the mark.
