The XXV work of the LICHTGESTALT series by Karin Döring shows the asana Padmasana, also known as the lotus position. Namaste.

The lotus pose (Padmasana) is a sitting posture that is often practiced in meditation and yoga. The mental effect of the lotus position can unfold in different ways:

The lotus position creates a meditative atmosphere that makes it easier to focus on the present moment and calm the mind. Padmasana requires some attention and awareness of one's body. The pose encourages you to be mindful of your own body and to focus on your own breathing. In yoga philosophy there is the concept of "chakras", energy centers in the body. The lotus position is often thought of as a posture that opens the energy channels and promotes chakra balance.

Important Information About My Art

Gerhard H. Germany

I purchased one of Karin's first paintings a few years ago. It was a portrait that immediately spoke to me and captivated me. Since then, more of Karin's works have found a place in our home. I think it's great that she experiments, evolves her art, and thus stands out from other artists. With her special works from the HUMAN STRIPES series, she has definitely hit the mark. Keep it up and good luck 👍🍀
