The XII work of the LICHTGESTALT series shows the asana of the bow, also known as Dhanurasana.

On closer inspection, in addition to the asana depicted with a human figure, you can also see a very relaxed panther, which the artist did not consciously paint, it was simply there all of a sudden. Can you find him? :-)

This yoga asana is an advanced backbend that allows for deep stretching of the front side of the body. The benefits of Dhanurasana are many. It's a great exercise for strengthening your back and stretching your shoulders, chest, abdomen, and thighs. It also helps improve metabolism, regulate the gastrointestinal tract and reduce stress. On a psychological level, the bow asana can help reduce anxiety and depression and boost self-confidence.

In this work of art, the canvas c. 3cm slightly torn. You can see this in the last two photos shown, the spot is marked. Basically, this cannot be seen on the work of art, since the spot has been covered with impact metal, and the back of the canvas has been sealed with a varnish at the spot. Because of this crack, the artwork is being offered at a significant discount (30%) off the purchase price. Reduced price: on request

The artist Karin Döring has been practicing yoga for many years. The combination of relaxation and self-reflection and her daily artistic work in the studio are absolutely essential for her. New ideas often come from pausing and letting go. This is how the idea for the LICHTGESTALT series came about while practicing yoga. Obvious actually.

Important Information About My Art

Gerhard H. Germany

I purchased one of Karin's first paintings a few years ago. It was a portrait that immediately spoke to me and captivated me. Since then, more of Karin's works have found a place in our home. I think it's great that she experiments, evolves her art, and thus stands out from other artists. With her special works from the HUMAN STRIPES series, she has definitely hit the mark. Keep it up and good luck 👍🍀
